Conduct research or assist in the conduct of research, including the collection of samples relative to the Bioartificial Renal Epithelial Cell System (BRECS), and Bioartificial Pancreatic Islet Cell System (BPICS) Prototype designs. Obtain data for these prototype designs through the testing of large animals. Keep detailed logs of all work activity. Run statistical analysis of the data collected during these studies. Draft protocols for the animal studies and write manuscripts related to his assigned project. Use analytical research and laboratory equipment to oversee laboratory operations to ensure that the equipment is fully functional for animal trials and testing.
Requires a Bachelor’s Degree or foreign degree equivalent in Medicine or Health Sciences, or foreign degree equivalent.

Biomedical Engineer
Design and develop bioartificial organs (kidney, pancreas) using the principles of engineering and biological sciences; Evaluate the safety, efficiency, and effectiveness of biomedical organ replacements; Research biomaterials to be used for products; Coordinates the testing and analysis of processes/products and assists with quality control process. Masters Degree in Biomedical Engineering or any related field required. Hours are 9-5; 40 hours per week.
